Galeria Tanana, named after the Huichol Goddess of life, specializes in unique Huichol Art and fashion designer jewelry. Our clients often describe the space as walking into another world, magical and beautiful.
The goal of Galeria Tanana is to create enduring lifelines between Huichol traditions and the future; lifelines that allow traditional wisdom to thrive in the 21st Century by empowering the people who carry its spirit and substance.
Our income goes directly to The Huichol Center for Cultural Survival where they help insure that ancient Huichol shamanic wisdom and tribal arts are passed on to future generations by:
* Helping impoverished artists enhance their art and market their skills to create economic self-sufficiency.
* Support tribal shamans and archive their methaphysical and botanical knowledge.
* Teach Huichol students computer literacy to document and share their knowledge with the global community.
* Promote organic gardening, permaculture, nutrition and health education to prolong longevity of the tribe.
We are located in Sayulita, Nayarit. A bustling pueblo becoming more and more known for it’s gentle people, beautiful landscape, vibrant energy, and totally unique way of life.
