Casa Kukana

Casa Kukana has 2 bungalows which is perfect for groups. The Moroccan Bungalow sleeps 4 with two master suites over looking the ocean and Jungle. The English County Bungalow sleeps 2 adults and a child. Separated by private tropical gardens!

Below is some more information on my property and please take a look at my web page to see more pictures of the views, gardens, pool and inside the bungalows. Let me know if you want to book it and if you have any questions. You have the whole property to yourselves, which is 2 1/2 acres of gardens, and views of the world.
It is a 6 to 8 minute walk along the road into town. If you don’t like to walk than I suggest you rent a golf cart which is very reasonable now, around $25 USD. I can set it up for you before you get here. Everyone loves them and it is great as you can get to the beach in a few minutes and into the center of town. Especially nice at night when you want to go out for dinner and shopping and don’t want to walk home.

Moroccan Bungalow is perfect for two couples. It is a very comfortable and spacious bungalow with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs bedroom has a Queen size bed, with a very large bathroom with double sinks, large bathtub, double shower heads and incredible views of the ocean while you are showering. Also upstairs is the kitchen, dining room, large built in couch and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the sea. Wrapped around the front of the bungalow is also an large deck where you can sit and relax. There is a satellite T.V. and DVD player upstairs as well. As you can see from photos of the bungalows,

The Moroccan downstairs bedroom and the bath suite is completed separate from the upstairs area…there is a King size bed in this bedroom with an adjoining bathroom with shower. We have just recently just totally remodeled the bottom bedroom of the Moroccan, and it is now like a bungalow verses just a bedroom.
There is now a whole new terrace with a large built in couch, and table and chairs. The bathroom was totally redone with all new tile and it has a amazing ocean view. The King size bed has a large mosquito net over it as well. It is nice as now the you can spend time down stairs on the terrace verses being in the upstairs of the Moroccan, and have your own private area. The downstairs suite is also Air conditioned. The King size bed can be divided into two twin beds as well.

The English Country Bungalow is a lovely one bedroom bungalow with a Matrimonial size bed with a mosquito net overhead. There is a dining area, a large built in couch (large enough for one person to sleep on) and a spacious bathroom with a rock waterfall that flows into the tub. It also has a satellite T.V., and DVD player.(we have a selection of movies to choose from). It has a kitchen which includes a mediumsize fridge, toaster oven, two burner gas stove , coffee maker, blender (for those margaritas) and pots and pans, dishes and everything else you need for cooking your meals if you so choose. I have just added a new terrace for the English Country which is a great place to go and have your morning coffee and has a lovely view of the ocean and gardens. The English Country also has A/C.

We now have a lovely pool as well, with a Bali Bungalow on the grass platform, where you can sit and relax. (click on photos to open it up to see pictures of the bungalows, etc.) I have just put in new built in couches, wifi internet and connections to plug in your ipod, computer, etc. It is great place to lay down and read a book or to work on your computer.

There are also lawn chairs and umbrellas on the grass platform, next to the pool to relax on and look at the sea and the town of Sayulita…we also have a barbeque that is next to the pool for those nights you might want to have a barbeque outside and enjoy the pool and the warm nights.

It is a five to eight minute walk to town and the local beaches…and if you want privacy you can walk back towards the jungle from my place to Playa de los Muerto’s a great beach for swimming, or a 10 minute walk to Carricitos which is a totally incredible place to spend the day….big pools in the rocks to swim in and if you want to sun bathe it is a totally hidden and secluded beach. It is the beach that we always swim at, and we have lived here for a long time….If you do not like to walk or exercise I suggest that you rent a car or a golf cart.

If you are into surfing Sayulita is great for beginners and intermediate… but there are lots of great surf spots near by that we can arrange for you to go for all levels of surfing. There are great Jungle walks and you can go on and you can rent bikes as well. There are also an arrange of jungle tours for those adventurers.

Sayulita now has many more new restaurants to choose from, your local little taco stands to Argentinian food, Chinese food, Italian food, sushi bar, Vegetarian restaurant and Don Pedro’s which is a five star restaurant for that night when you want to take your partner out to eat something (URL HIDDEN) is a very beautiful restaurant on the ocean under a large palapa and very romantic. You can see our “Buddha Spa” which is located at the back of our Buddha Gallery overlooking the sea as well. Guest access

My guests have access to the beautiful grounds, pool, barbeque and will receive a 10% discount on any services at “Buddha Spa”, which is a full service spa overlooking the sea in Sayulita.

Interaction with guests

I personally greet all my guests and make sure they get all set up in their bungalows. My house is situated on the property on the top platform so I am always available. My house manager Santiago lives at the bottom of the property and makes sure everything is working smoothly.

The neighborhood

I love the south side of town as we get the amazing sunrise and moonrise which is so beautiful. Most of the villas on this side of town are all large pieces of property which affords lots of privacy as there are no houses near by so there are no noise issues from other neighbors or from my guests themselves.
I hope my guests enjoy Sayulita as much as I have and continue to every day. There are incredible jungle walks right out the door from Casa Kukana that go for miles on jungle roads to beautiful isolated beaches with no one there. If you like to run, hike, bike this is the place to be.
Sayulita also has many classes in Yoga, Pilates, dance, etc. for those who like to continue their daily exercise routine. Everything is within walking distance, which is what everyone loves about Sayulita.
I will be happy to set you up with anything you would like to do….horseback riding, sailing, SUP, surfing, kayaking, private yoga classes, or a private chef to cook your meals.

Getting around

You can rent a golf cart to get around town, if you don’t like to walk, or rent a car if you want to take a day trip to another pueblo or surfing to other beaches. It is very easy to walk everywhere, so most of my guests just get around that way. You can take a taxi to Punta Mita for the day, where they have beautiful blue caribbean waters and a great place for beginners to learn how to surf.
I always recommend to my guests that they have a taxi meet them at the airport. I arrange that for them and it makes your arrival stress free. The taxi stops on the way at the large Mega store so you can get supplies for your stay, than brings you directly to Casa Kukana and help you with your things.
I have a large parking area below where you can part your car of golf cart.
